Caring for your dog like family
Friendly, reliable walks, pop-in visits and home sitting in Rothwell and the surrounding villages, from someone who treats your dog like family.
Three simple ways to keep your dog happy, exercised and cared for while you’re at work, busy or away.
One-to-one walks only, never in a group, so your dog gets my full attention, a good sniff about and plenty of fuss. Picked up and dropped back home.
£15 for 30 minutes · £25 for 1 hour
Out at work all day? I’ll call in for half an hour to check in, feed, give medication or take your dog for a gentle stroll. I also pop in to feed and care for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets.
£15 per 30 minute visit
Out for the day? Your dog stays in their own home with their own bed and routine, and I stay with them to keep everything ticking over.
Price depends on your dog’s needs. Just ask

Hi, I’m Patricia, the person behind My Local Dog Nanny. 🐾
Dogs have been part of my life since I was a child, but the inspiration behind My Local Dog Nanny came from my beautiful girl, Lucy. I never really liked leaving her, even when she stayed with family and I knew she was perfectly fine. As she grew older, it became even more important to me that she could stay in the place where she felt happiest and safest: her own home.
I know first-hand how much trust it takes to leave your precious dog in someone else’s care. I wanted to create the kind of service I would have wanted for Lucy: calm, reliable and genuinely caring, with plenty of love, attention and fuss. ❤️
I offer dog walking, drop-in visits and day sitting in Rothwell and surrounding areas, helping dogs stay happy and comfortable in familiar surroundings whenever their family can’t be there.
For extra peace of mind, I’m DBS checked, fully insured and Accredited Dog First Aid & CPR trained.
